Dynamic Evolution,Regional Differences and Spatial Convergence Characteristics of New Quality Productivity

Abstract
Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2010 to 2022,this paper employs the entropy weight-TOP-SIS method to measure the new quality productivity,and utilizes the Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition method,kernel density estimation,and spatial convergence models to reveal its dynamic evolution,regional differences and spatial convergence.The research finds that the overall and regional levels of new quality productivity exhibit a fluctuating upward trend,presenting the characteristics of"eastern region>central region>western region"and"the south>the north".The overall difference shows an N-shaped evolution trend of rising first and then falling,with inter-regional differences being the primary source of the overall dif-ference.Both the whole country and the central,western,and northern regions exhibit significant absolute β convergence charac-teristics.The results of the conditional β convergence test show that all regions except the southern region show significant con-vergence,with convergence speeds characterized by"central region>western region>eastern region"under the classification cri-teria of the three major regions.关键词
