摘要
Abstract
Iron is a critical nutrient for cellular functions and is essential for pregnant women and embryonic development.Iron deficiency during pregnancy has adverse effects on maternal and infant health,such as postpartum hemorrhage,premature delivery,Willis-Ekbom disease,cesarean section,postpartum depression,low birth weight infants,and long-term autism in newborns,schizophrenia,and structural brain abnormalities.Studies have shown that indiscriminate prophylactic iron supplementation during pregnancy also increases oxidative stress and inflammation in the mother and placenta,increases the risk of pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes mellitus and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy,and affects maternal and infant health.This paper reviews the influence of iron status during pregnancy on maternal and infant health.关键词
