Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of mechanical expectoration in adjuvant treatment of adenovirus pneumonia in children.Methods From August 2023 to August 2024,60 children with adenovirus pneumonia admitted to the Department of Pediatrics,Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into routine group and observation group according to whether treated with mechanical expectoration or not,with 30 cases in each group.The routine group was given routine treatment such as fluid replacement,fever reduction,expectoration and atomization,while the observation group was given mechanical expectoration after aerosol inhalation on the basis of routine treatment.The clinical indexes(time of body temperature recovery,time of cough relief,time of lung rales disappearance,time of asthma recovery,length of hospital stay,hormone utilization rate and total effective rate)and the occurrence of adverse events in the two groups were compared.Results In the routine group,the time of body temperature recovery was(6.30±1.20)days,time of cough relief was(9.33±2.09)days,time of lung rales disappearance was(9.49±1.80)days,and time of asthma recovery was(3.49±0.73)days.In the observing group,the time of body temperature recovery was(5.33±1.17)days,time of cough relief was(7.62±1.52)days,time of lung rales disappearance was(7.88±1.37)days and time of asthma recovery was(2.87±0.92)days.The symptom recovery time of the observation group was shorter than that of the observation group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The hormone utilization rate in the observation group was lower than that in the routine group,the length of hospital stay was shorter than that in the routine group,and the total effective rate was higher than that in the routine group(P<0.05).During the mechanical expectoration in the observation group,2 cases presented with symptoms of nausea and vomiting,and 1 case had subjective discomfort,all of them were relieved within 24 hours.Conclusion Mechanical expectoration in adjuvant treatment of adenovirus pneumonia in children can accelerate the symptom improvement,shorten the course of the disease and reduce the use of hormones,which is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
