Analysis of the correlation between acoustic features and suicidal and self-injurious behaviors in adolescents with mood disorder and depressive episodes

Abstract
Objective To analyze the relationship between acoustic features and suicidal and self-injurious behaviors in adolescents with mood disorder and depressive episodes.Methods A total of 120 adolescents diagnosed with mood disorder and depressive episodes who were treated in the Fourth People's Hospital of Zhangjiagang between January 2022 and March 2024 were selected as the study subjects.Participants were assigned to research group(n=75,with suicidal and self-injurious behavior)and control group(n=45,without suicidal and self-injurious behavior)according to the presence of suicidal and self-injurious behavior.The indicators between the two groups were compared in terms of 17-item Hamilton depression scale(HAMD-17),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Young mania rating scale(YMRS),and brief psychiatric rating scale(BPRS)scores and acoustic features.Multifactor logistic regression was used to analyze the relationship between acoustic features and suicidal and self-injurious behaviors.Results The comparison of HAMD-17,HAMA,YMRS,and BPRS scores between the two groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The fundamental frequency envelope,spectral centroid,and spectral roll-off coefficient of the research group were lower than those of the control group,and the mel-frequency spectrum was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a correlation between the acoustic features and fundamental frequency envelope,mel-frequency spectrum,spectral centroid,and spectral roll-off coefficient(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a clear correlation between suicidal and self-injurious behaviors and acoustic features in adolescents with mood disorder and depressive episodes.Among the acoustic parameters,such as fundamental frequency envelope,Mel-frequency spectrum,spectral centroid,and spectral roll-off coefficient can be used as effective indicators to identify high-risk adolescents,providing evidence for early identification and intervention in clinical practice.关键词
