Synergetic Enhancement Effect of PVA and Post-treatment on Powder Bed 3D Printing Cementitious Material

Abstract
Powder bed 3D printing technology using cementitious material has the advantages of high forming accuracy and good material durability,providing a new means for high precision and free forming of building components.In view of the problem of low strength of 3D printing cementitious ma-terials,an enhancement method of dissolving and impregnating PVA powder is proposed.The influ-ence laws of PVA powder content and post-treatment methods on the accuracy,strength and micro-structure of 3D printing cementitious materials are studied.The results show that PVA powder improves the printing accuracy of specimens.When the PVA content is 5%,the dimensional error of specimens is less than 2%in x,y and z directions.The compressive strength of the specimens is ef-fectively improved by the post-treatment of underwater curing and then high temperature drying.The compressive strength of the specimens without PVA powder is increased by 506.67%at most.The post-treatment and the internal PVA powder lead to a synergistic enhancement effect.PVA powder dissolves in water to form PVA solution,which fills the pores of the specimens.After the high-temper-ature solidification of PVA,the compressive strength of 5%PVA specimens is increased by 708.33%at most.This study provides a novel approach to enhance the mechanical properties of powder bed 3D printing cementitious materials.关键词
