A High-precision Automatic Calibration and Compensation Method for Rubidium Clock's Temperature Characteristics in Variable-temperature Environments

Abstract
The rubidium clock,as an atomic frequency standard,is a high-configuration clock source widely used in time-frequency systems.However,limited by its physical properties,its output frequency accuracy and stability are highly temperature-sensitive,resulting in degraded time-keeping performance under external temperature variations.A method and hardware system for automatic calibration and compensation of rubidium clock's temperature characteristics in variable-temperature environments is proposed,achieving refined frequency adjustment and calibration through three technical approaches:(1)high-precision temperature measurement,(2)frequency adjustment calculation based on Precise Point Positioning(PPP)with clock interpolation/Time-to-Digital Converter(TDC)and precise clock difference processing,and(3)least-squares linear fitting of temperature characteristics.The proposed system enables adaptive high-precision frequency compensation for rubidium clocks operating at varying temperatures,significantly improving their frequency accuracy and time-keeping performance in dynamic thermal environments.It is applicable to various timing and time-keeping terminals/systems equipped with rubidium clocks,delivering high-quality time-frequency services.Experimental results validate the method's feasibility and effectiveness.关键词
