Deep-water Sedimentary Characteristics and Sedimentary Model of Chang 7 Member of Yanchang Formation in Wuqi-Dingbian Area

Abstract
Gravity flow sand bodies deposited in deep-water lacustrine basins are favorable targets for unconventional oil and gas explo-ration.According to the theory of deep-water gravity flow deposition in continental lake basin,the types and characteristics of deep-water gravity flow deposition,the genesis and sedimentary mode of gravity flow in Chang 7 member of Yanchang Formation in Wuqi-Dingbian area were studied by comprehensive utilization of core observation,grain size analysis and logging curves.The results show that there are abundant types of deep-water deposits in the Chang 7 member of the study area,and three types of gravity flow deposits are mainly de-veloped:slump deposits,sandy debris flow deposits and turbidity current deposits.The main geneses of gravity flow include trigger mech-anism,lake basin shape and sediment source,and different types of gravity flow superimposed vertically.The gravity flow deposition process of Chang 7 member is summarized in three stages:the deposition stage of from delta front sand body to semi-deep lake slope slump sand body,the deposition stage of from semi-deep lake slump sand body to sandy debris flow,the deposition of from semi-deep lake-deep lake sandy debris flow to turbidity current.The non/restricted channel microfacies of Chang 7 member are the most devel-oped,which controls the distribution of hydrocarbon and is the key type of oil exploration in the next step.关键词
