Erosion Characteristics of a New Sleeve-Type Sewage Valve

Abstract
In order to ensure the safe operation of the shale gas production discharge process,the existing sleeve-type discharge valve structure is improved.Based on the erosion situation of the discharge valve in a shale gas field in Sichuan,the disc of the original sewage valve has been replaced with a chamfered trapezoidal valve disc,and the original circular throttle hole has been transformed into a square throttle hole.The erosion characteristics and flow performance of the improved discharge valve at different sewage flowing speeds,openings,sand amounts,shape factors,and sand particle sizes were simulated using Fluent software,and the simulation results are compared with those of original discharge valve under standard operating conditions.The results showed that when the opening was 10%,the highest erosion rate of the improved sewage valve at different sewage flowing rates was only 1.28 × 10-4 kg/(m2·s),and the corrosion inhibition rate reached 98.8%.The pressure loss was significantly reduced,and the flow capacity was enhanced.The anti-ero-sion performance of the improved sewage valve is significantly improved,which can provide technical reference for the optimization de-sign of sewage valves in shale gas separation sewage systems in the future.关键词
