The Sense of Commonality for Chinese Nation:An Analysis Based on the Historical Evolution of Hua-Yi Thought

Abstract
Sense is the precursor to practice.The continuous deepening and consolidation of the sense of commonali-ty for Chinese nation plays an important role in constructing a more solid community for Chinese nation.Ancient China's Hua-Yi thought,as a far-reaching concept for ethnic group governance,underwent multiple stages of evolution.The early"Distinction between Hua and Yi"emphasized the geographical and cultural differences between the Huaxia ethnic group and minority groups.This later evolved into political practices such as"honoring the king and expelling the barbarians"and"transforming the barbarians with Chinese culture".It eventually developed into the concept of"common ancestry of Hua and Yi"and culminated in the highly inclusive idea of"Unity of Hua and Yi".This intellectual evolution from divi-sion to integration provides a strong cultural foundation for the consolidation of the sense of the commonality for Chinese nation.Analyzing and interpreting the historical evolution of Hua-Yi thought and exploring the historical laws embedded within it that enhances the commonality for Chinese nation and holds significant meaning for building a community for Chinese nation with stronger identity and cohesion.关键词
