Integration and Cohesion:On the Representation of Traditional Festival Rituals and the Identification of Rural Social Communities:Example for the"Welcoming the Heavenly Emperor"Ceremony in Wo Village in Dali of Yunnan Province

Abstract
This study examines the the"Welcoming the Heavenly Emperor"Ceremony in Wo Village in Dali of Yun-nan and analyzes the function and motivation of the ritual practice subject how to construct the Tianzi Festival with anthro-pological interpretation.It explores the symbolic system of traditional festival rituals and their inherent significance.It ex-plores the integration and cohesion role of the reproduction of traditional festival rituals in contemporary rural social order and forging the sense of community for Chinese nation.The"Welcoming the Heavenly Emperor"Ceremony is not only a performing festival by instinct for villagers,but also consciously constructing cultural memory for some rural elites of Wo Village.The"Welcoming the Heavenly Emperor"Ceremony traces the history of the village and presents the formation and development of a unified multi-ethnic country in a localized way.It not only promotes cooperation among villagers and inside and outside the village,but also enhances the village community's recognition of the history and Chinese cul-ture of a unified multi-ethnic country.The"Welcoming the Heavenly Emperor"Ceremony summons the solemn and fes-tive emotions of the villagers,cultivates their unique spiritual temperament and way of life,and forges a strong sense of community for Chinese nation from the perspectives of cognition,emotion,and behavior.关键词
