Abstract
The safe and economical utilization of water energy resources is an eternal theme and pursuit in hydropower development.The arch dam is a dam type with both superior safety and economy,and it is also a very complex dam type.How to quickly evaluate the structural safety of arch dams and design economically viable arch dams on the premise of safety is a problem that dam engineers strive to solve.Based on the actual situations of 240 arch dams around the world,a Method M for evaluating the safety and economy of arch dams has been derived,which can be applied and commented on by dam engineering experts from various countries.关键词
