Abstract
To advance the digitalization and intelligent upgrading of smart manufacturing,this paper investigates the scenarios and requirements for new short-range wireless networks coordinated with 5G-Advanced(5G-A)deterministic networking.Guided by the principles of network-industry collaboration,lightweight deployment,deterministic assurance,and unified scheduling,a novel architecture for short-range wireless networking and corresponding device types is proposed.An integrated networking solution combining 5G-A with short-range wireless is further introduced,enabling hierarchical and domain-specific traffic management for industrial control data.This design effectively offloads north-south and east-west traffic in core production processes,enhances network capacity,and leverages the inherent advantages of short-range wireless networks in latency and link determinism.A case study on the wireless transformation of an automotive production line demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed approach.The deployed system consistently supported PROFINET industrial control services with an 8 ms cycle,achieving an average latency reduction of 45.2%and a jitter reduction of 50%.Experimental results validate the correctness of the system design and confirm that the expected performance targets were achieved.关键词
