Abstract

This study focuses on the application of AI-based text-to-video models in the field of animation production,sys-tematically tracing the evolution from generating sequential frames and short videos to the integration into full-length ani-mated film that fits digital cinema standards.The research conducts a case study towards Move A Mountain,the first fully AI-generated animated film,and demonstrates a method which combines the use of text-to-image model,image-to-video model,and text-to-video model that could effectively address three major limitations of current text-to-video technology in animation generation,referring to instability in output,insufficient accuracy in character performance,and significant devia-tion in visual style.Furthermore,it explores how this combined approach contributes to streamlining and optimizing the pro-duction pipeline.The study argues that the application of large-scale text-to-video model throughout the entire production process of animated film realizes three breakthrough among technology,procedure,and industry.Technologically,the ap-proach establishes a new paradigm of human-machine collaboration.On the procedure aspect,it introduces a matrix-based integration of large models.Last but not the least,the approach pioneers a dual-mode symbiosis through the paral-lel release of both digital cinema and metaverse version,offering audiences an unprecedented viewing experience.The findings suggest that a deeply integrated,AI-powered multimodal animation production model may serve as an effective strategy for advancing technological innovation and enhancing originality within China's domestic animation industry,par-ticularly in the context of ongoing media convergence.
