Hierarchical Sentiment Analysis of Urban Parks Landscapes Based on UGC Data
摘要
Abstract
[Objective]To analyze people's sentiment towards urban parks, and understand the relationships between environmental elements and landscape perception, which is critical for urban park planning, design, and management.[Method]Taking 4 representative urban parks in Yuexiu District,Guangzhou,as the research objects, the paper collects 11 594 online reviews in 2018-2023,hierarchically evaluates the overall satisfaction degree and perceived landscape characteristics of the parks based on UGC(User Generated Content)data and by adopting the methods of the textual sentiment analysis of perceptual frequency grading and LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation)theme analysis, and identifies the key landscape elements corresponding to positive/passive sentiment through the analysis of the themes from 5 dimensions.[Result]1)Park visitors have generally high satisfaction towards the 4 parks, dominated with positive sentiments;2)Natural environmental elements and diverse recreational activities are the primary sources of positive emotions;and 3)Management services, public facilities, and transportation accessibility are the predominant triggers of negative sentiment.[Conclusion]The UGC data based landscape sentiment assessment framework can effectively identify the critical determinants of positive/negative emotional responses, providing a more precise method for environmental perception studies.Future parks should be enhanced with specialized natural elements, improved recreational/social facilities, and optimized design-management systems,in order to strengthen the public's positive emotional experience and meet diverse needs.关键词
