Research status of aquaporins in the pathogenesis of Sjögren's syndrome based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of"Yin deficiency"
摘要
Abstract
Sjögren's syndrome(SS)is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the lacrimal and salivary glands,leading to symptoms of dry eyes and dry mouth,in addition to a number of systems in the human body,including the heart,lungs,kidneys,and central nervous system.The current discovery of aquaporins(AQPs)holds great promise for the pathological evolution and treatment of this disease.Based on the holistic view,Chinese medicine is able to discriminate and treat the disease with prescription and medication,which has the characteristics of multi-targets,multi-levels,and multi-pathways,and has great advantages in the treatment of this disease.The theory of"Yin deficiency"is an important theory of Chinese medicine,and is currently used by many physicians to explain the etiology of SS.In this paper,the role of AQPs in the pathogenesis of SS is investigated from the theory of"Yin deficiency",in order to provide more theoretical basis for the research and clinic of this disease.关键词
