11例猫先天性门体分流病例的影像学和血清生化指标回顾性分析
Retrospective Analysis of Imaging and Serum Biochemical Markers in 11 Cases of Congenital Portosystemic Shunt in Cats

Abstract
This study collected case information from cats diagnosed with congenital portosystemic shunt(CPSS)between January 2021 and December 2023 at Veterinary Teaching Hospital,Center for Veterinary Sciences,Zhejiang University,Beijing Loving Pet Hospital,and Hangzhou Hongtai Pet Hospital Tianmuli Referral Center.A total of 11 cases of CPSS met the inclusion criteria,including 5 with gastric-left diaphragmatic venous shunt,4 with splenic-posterior vena cava shunt,1 with left colonic-posterior vena cava shunt,and 1 with intrahepatic portal vein central shunt.Measurements were taken from computed tomography angiography(CTA)to obtain the diameters of the caudal portal vein(Caudal PV),cranial portal vein(Cranial PV),shunting vessel(S),and aorta(Ao).The study aimed to assess the differences in Caudal PV/Ao,Cranial PV/Ao,and S/Ao ratios between cats with gastric-left diaphragmatic venous shunt and splenic-caudal vena cava shunt CPSS.Additionally,Renal length(RL)and the second lumbar vertebra length(L2)were measured by computed tomography(CT)to analyze the correlation between RL/L2 values and serum biochemical markers.The results indicated that the Caudal PV diameter was larger than the Cranial PV diameter in all affected cats,and no significant differences were found in the Cranial PV/Ao,Caudal PV/Ao,and S/Ao ratios between gastric-left diaphragmatic venous shunt and splenic-caudal vena cava shunt CPSS(P>0.05).Kidney enlargement(RL/L2 value increase)was found in 63.6%(7/11)of the cats,but there was no significant correlation between RL/L2 values and serum biochemical markers(P>0.05).CTA was effective in determining the type of CPSS and accurately assessing the morphological features of the portosystemic shunt,while CT was useful in determining kidney enlargement in affected cats.These findings underscore the importance of CTA and CT in the diagnosis of CPSS in cats.关键词
