Abstract

Objective To analyze the impact of attitude-definition-open mind-planning-try it out(ADOPT)training on children with language disorders.Method From January 2021 to December 2023,100 children with language disorders admitted to our hospital were prospectively collected and randomly divided into an observation group(n=50)and a control group(n=50).The observation group received ADOPT training,while the control group received routine rehabilitation.The rehabilitation status of the two groups was compared.Results There were no significant differences in language behavior,adaptive behavior,personal social behavior scores,speech clarity,anxiety and depression self-assessment scores,and mandibular,lip,and tongue motor function between the two groups of children before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the observation group showed a significant increase in language behavior(P=0.003),adaptive behavior(P=0.013),and personal social behavior scores(P=0.006);The rate of excellent speech clarity was significantly higher than that of the control group(P=0.016).The anxiety self-assessment scale(P=0.001)and the depression self-assessment scale(P=0.013)scores significantly decreased.The scores of mandibular motor function(P=0.008),lip motor function(P<0.001)and tongue motor function(P=0.011)were significantly increased.Conclusion ADOPT mode training can significantly improve the speech function and mental health status of children with language disorders.
