Abstract
Objective To explore the effectiveness of using Pivotal Response Treatment(PRT)to improve the active questioning skills of a child with autism and strategies for its use.Methods A case study method was used to select a preschool child with autism who was 7 years and 1 month old,and the intervention consisted of asking"What is this?"with objects.The study process included a baseline period,an intervention period,a maintenance period,and a second maintenance period,and the intervention was expected to last a total of 2 weeks.Results In the intervention period,the active questioning skills of the cases maintained a positive and stable development,with a gradual increase in the rate of correctness;the rate of correctness of the active questioning skills of the cases in the structured environment in the maintenance period remained relatively stable,with a good maintenance effect;the rate of correctness of the active questioning skills of the cases in the natural environment in the second maintenance period decreased,but remained stable overall;Parents and teachers confirm the effectiveness of PRT intervention for active questioning skills in children with autism.Conclusion PRT was effective in improving the autistic child's active questioning skills;PRT had a positive cascading effects in other areas such as social,communication and cognition,with good immediate,maintenance effects,and good social validity;There is individual variability in the teaching strategies of PRT.关键词
