Abstract
Objective To analyze the effect of Scarf osteotomy combined with soft tissue balance release therapy on the degree of deformity and forefoot function in patients with moderate to severe hallux valgus.Methods A total of 84 patients with moderate to severe hallux valgus who visited Zhengzhou Third People's Hospital from January 2024 to December 2024 were selected as the research subjects and treated with scarf osteotomy combined with soft tissue balance release.The hallux valgus angle,the intermetatarsal angle level and the American orthopaedic foot&ankle society score of the patients before the operation and 3 months after the operation were compared,and the incidence of complications was statistically analyzed.Results Three months after the operation,the hallux valgus angle and the intermetatarsal angle of 84 patients with moderate to severe hallux valgus decreased from(28.04±3.27)° and(17.32±1.75)° to(15.47±2.68)° and(11.12±1.37)° respectively,with a significant difference(P<0.001).Three months after the operation,the American orthopaedic foot&ankle society scores of 84 patients with moderate to severe hallux valgus increased from(48.47±4.63)points to(87.11±4.20)points,with a significant difference(P<0.001).Postoperative complications occurred in 5 patients,and the complication rate was 5.95%.Conclusions The scarf osteotomy combined with soft tissue balance release therapy can effectively correct hallux valgus deformity in patients with moderate to severe hallux valgus and is positively helpful in improving the forefoot function of patients.关键词
