吸附性全口义齿修复联合正畸咬胶修复治疗无牙颌患的效果分析
Analysis of the therapeutic effect of combined treatment with adhesive full-arch denture restoration and orthodontic bite splint restoration for edentulous patients

Abstract
Objective To analyze the impact of adsorptive complete denture restoration combined with orthodontic chewing gum on edentulous patients.Methods Clinical data from 60 edentulous patients in Anyang District Hospital,Puyang City from March 2021 to February 2024 were collected for retrospective analysis.According to different repair methods,they were divided into two groups,the control group of 30 patients received adsorbent full dentures,while the observation group of 30 patients received adsorbent full dentures combined with orthodontic chewing gum.The asymmetry index of masseter muscles(ASMM),chewing function(chewing efficiency,maximum chewing force),mucosal tenderness count,anterior temporalis asymmetry index(ASTA),and quality of life[oral health impact profile(OHIP-14 Chinese version)]at 6 months after repair were compared between the two groups at different time points(after repair,3 months after repair,and 6 months after repair).Results The comparison of chewing efficiency and maximum chewing force between the two groups at different times,between groups,and under interactive effects showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Both groups showed a decreasing trend in chewing efficiency and an increasing trend in maximum chewing force over time,with the observation group outperforming the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the number of tender points between the two groups and the interaction between the two groups(P>0.05),but with the evolution of time,the number of tender points in both groups showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing(P<0.05).The comparison of the two groups of ASMM and ASTA at different times,between groups,and under interactive effects showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Both groups of ASMM and ASTA showed a decreasing trend over time,with the observation group being lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the Chinese version of OHIP-14 score in the observation group was lower 6 months after repair(P<0.05).Conclusions Patients with edentulous jaws undergoing adsorption full denture restoration combined with orthodontic chewing gum repair can effectively improve their chewing function,reduce the number of tender mucous membranes,reduce asymmetry of the masseter and temporalis muscles,and improve their oral-related quality of life.关键词
