Abstract
Objective To evaluate the oral aesthetic effect of digital crown extension guide plate in improving the anterior teeth area.Methods A total of 160 patients who underwent aesthetic restoration of the anterior teeth area in Jiaozuo Coal Industry(Group)Co.,Ltd.Central Hospital from August 2022 to August 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a conventional group and a digital group according to different treatments,with 80 patients in each group.The conventional group underwent conventional crown lengthening surgery and restoration treatment,while the digital group underwent digital crown lengthening guide assisted crown lengthening surgery and restoration.Follow up examinations will be conducted on all patients at 3 and 6 months after completion of treatment to compare their oral aesthetics,oral related indicators,and patient satisfaction.Results There was no significant difference in preoperative white aesthetic and red aesthetic scores between the digital group and the conventional group(P>0.05).The white aesthetic and red aesthetic scores of the digital group were higher than those of the conventional group at 3 and 6 months after surgery(P<0.05);The gingival index(GI),periodontal probing depth(PPD),and tooth mobility(TM)levels of the digital group and the conventional group decreased at 3 and 6 months after surgery(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in GI,PPD,and TM levels between the digital group and the conventional group before and after surgery at 3 and 6 months(P>0.05);The personality traits,crown morphology,gingival texture and color,crown color,smile curve,crown aspect ratio,and overall satisfaction score of patients in the digital group were higher than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusions The use of digital crown extension guide plates to assist in crown extension surgery and restoration is superior to conventional treatment,and can improve the aesthetic effect of pink and white front teeth after treatment.It has no adverse effects on periodontal health and can further improve patient satisfaction with restoration.关键词
