Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of traditional Chinese medicine application combined with modified Taohong Siwu Decoction on the pain status,hemodynamic indicators,TCM syndrome score and the incidence of adverse reactions in patients with early limb swelling in fractures.Methods Two hundred patients with early limb swelling due to fractures who visited Jianyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2023 to April 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 100 cases in each group.The control group was treated with mannitol injection,while the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine patches combined with modified Taohong Siwu Decoction.The therapeutic effects of the two groups of patients were compared.Results After the treatment,the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the high shear viscosity of whole blood,low shear viscosity of whole blood and plasma viscosity in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the scores of swelling,pain and congestion in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The duration of pain,the time of callus formation,the healing time of fracture ends,and the time for the affected limb to resume weight-bearing in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of the 36-item Short Form 36 Health Survey(SF-36)and the Modified Barthel Index(MBI)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion For patients with limb swelling in the early stage of fractures,the application of traditional Chinese medicine patches combined with modified Taohong Siwu Decoction can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms and pain,improve hemodynamics,have relatively high medication safety,accelerate recovery,and enhance the quality of life and self-care ability.关键词
