Abstract
Objective:To explore and analyze the influencing factors of carotid atherosclerosis lesions in middle-aged and elderly patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.Method:A total of 350 middle-aged and elderly patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)admitted to the China Meteorological Administration Hospital between June 2020 and December 2024 were included in the study. All patients underwent carotid artery atherosclerosis examination and were divided into a normal carotid artery group(n=278)and a carotid atherosclerosis lesions group(n=72)based on the examination results.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to explore the risk factors for carotid atherosclerosis lesions in middle-aged and elderly NAFLD patients.Result:Compared to the normal carotid artery group, the carotid atherosclerosis lesions group had a higher proportion of male patients, older age,a higher proportion of patients with overweight or obesity,a lower proportion of patients engaging in regular physical exercise and lower level of adiponectin(APN),higher levels of total bilirubin(TBIL),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)and triglycerides(TG),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in education level, marital status, smoking status, hypertension between the two groups(P>0.05).The indicators with statistically significant differences mentioned above were included in the multivariate logistic regression analysis equation. The results showed that gender, age, overweight or obesity, high TG,and low APN were considered high-risk factors for the occurrence of carotid artery atherosclerosis lesions(P<0.05).Conclusion:Gender,age,overweight or obesity, high TG,and low APN are considered high-risk factors for the development of carotid artery atherosclerosis lesions in middle-aged and elderly people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which requires sufficient attention in clinical practice.关键词
