Effects of Levocarnitine Combined with Human Erythropoietin on Hemoglobin and Iron Biomarkers in Anemia Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis

摘要

Abstract

Objective:To explore the effects of Levocarnitine combined with Human Erythropoietin on hemoglobin(Hb)and iron biomarkers in anemia patients underwent hemodialysis.Method:A total of 102 anemia patients underwent hemodialysis admitted to Longnan First People's Hospital from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into Human Erythropoietin group(n=51)and combined group(n=51)according to envelope drawing method.Human Erythropoietin group was treated with Human Erythropoietin,and the combined group was treated with Levocarnitine combined with Human Erythropoietin.The clinical efficacy,iron biomarkers,anemia indexes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:The total clinical effective rate of combined group was higher than that of Human Erythropoietin group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,serum ferritin(SF),transferrin saturation(TSAT)and transferrin(TRF)in combined group were higher than those in Human Erythropoietin group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,Hb,red blood cell count(RBC)and hematocrit(HCT)in combined group were higher than those in Human Erythropoietin group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Levocarnitine combined with Human Erythropoietin in the treatment of anemia patients undergoing hemodialysis can significantly improve the levels of hemoglobin and iron biomarkers,with obvious curative effect and high safety.
