Effect of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction Combined with Western Medicine on Symptom Scores of Patients with Parkinson's Disease Complicated with Cognitive Dysfunction

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction combined with western medicine on symptom scores of patients with Parkinson's disease complicated with cognitive dysfunction.Method:A total of 78 patients with Parkinson's disease combined with cognitive dysfunction admitted to Hebei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method.The control group(n=39)was treated with western medicine,and the observation group(n=39)was treated with Huanglian Jiedu Decoction combined with western medicine.Symptoms scores,total effective rate,cognitive function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:The scores of the main syndromes and secondary syndromes in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.87%,which was higher than 76.92%of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)and mini-mental state examination(MMSE)in observation group were higher than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 7.69%,compared with 5.13%in the control group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Huanglian Jiedu Decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of patients with Parkinson's disease complicated with cognitive dysfunction can effectively reduce the symptoms scores,improve the curative effect,improve the cognitive function of patients,and has a good safety.关键词
