Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of Longdan Xiegan Decoction combined with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium in the treatment of patients with acute suppurative otitis media(ASOM).Method:A total of 79 patients with ASOM admitted to Ningde Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2022 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into two groups according to different treatment regiments.The control group(n=39)was treated with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium,and the observation group(n=39)was treated with Longdan Xiegan Decoction on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effect,TCM symptoms scores,inflammatory factors levels,hearing threshold and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of observation group[94.87%(37/39)]was higher than that of control group[79.49%(31/39)],the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 10 days of treatment,the scores of earache,tinnitus,ear tightness,hearing loss and purulent ear discharge in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 10 days of treatment,the levels of inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 10 days of treatment,the hearing threshold of the observation group at different frequencies were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After 10 days of treatment,ear symptoms,hearing status,mental health and quality of life of disease-specific scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment regimen of Longdan Xiegan Decoction combined with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium in ASOM patients can achieve ideal results,effectively reduce symptoms,improve hearing and quality of life.关键词
