Abstract

Objective To optimize the pulverization process of ultra fine powder of Epimedium brevicornu.Methods On the basis of single factor experiment,the particle size of medicineal materials,water content and the length of crusher shaft(refered as shaft length)were used as the investigation factors,and the crushing yield,D90,angle of repose and OD value were used as the evaluation indexes.The Box-Behnken response surface methodology and establishment of digital model were used.The process conditions were optimized.Results The strength of influencing factors were particle size of medicine materials,water content and shaft length,respectively.The suitable crushing process was as follows:the particle size of medicinal materials was 100 meshes,the water content was 4%-6%,the shaft length was 0.4 cm,and the powder crushed twice.In the verification test,the average crushing yield of the three batches of samples was 89.01%(RSD=0.06%),the average particle size was 10.64 µm(RSD=0.92%),and the average angle of repose was 39.16 °(RSD=0.38%).The repeatability was good and the particle size was stable.Conclusion The obtained preparation process in this study provides a methodological basis for the application of epimedii folium whole traditional Chinese medicine powder.
