Clinical Efficacy of Benvitimod Cream Combined with Acitretin Capsules in the Treatment of Psoriasis Vulgaris and its Effects on the Percentage of Th17 and Treg Cells

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of benvitimod cream combined with acitretin capsules on T helper cell 17(Th17),regulatory T cell(Treg)cells and inflammatory factors in patients with psoriasis vulgaris.Methods:A total of 150 patients with psoriasis vulgaris who were treated in the dermatology outpatient clinic of a hospital from January to June 2023 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group using the random number table method,with 75 patients in each group.The control group was treated with acitretin capsules,while the observation group was treated with benvitimod cream in addition to the control treatment,for 16 weeks.Psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)score,dermatology life quality index(DLQI)score,Th17 and Treg cells in peripheral blood,levels of inflammatory factors[interleukin-17(IL-17),interleukin-10(IL-10)],clinical efficacy,relapse rate and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the PASI score and DLQI score were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Th17 cell percentage and Th17/Treg were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The percentage of Treg cells was increased in both groups(P<0.05),and higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The IL-17 level was decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The level of IL-10 was increased in both groups(P<0.05),and higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group(86.66%)was higher than that in the control group(73.33%,P=0.033).During the follow-up period,the relapse rate in the observation group(1.33%)was lower than that in the control group(9.33%,χ2=4.754,P=0.029).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(χ2=2.519,P=0.113).Conclusion:Benvitimod cream combined with acitretin capsules is effective and safe in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris,which may be associated with the improvement of Th17/Treg imbalance.关键词
