Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Bazhen decoction in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue with Qi-Blood deficiency syndrome in breast cancer patients.Methods:A total of 104 patients with breast cancer-related fatigue who visited a hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected and divided into the control group(n=52,3 dropouts,49 cases included)and the observation group(n=52,3 dropouts,49 cases included)by envelope method.The control group was given standard chemotherapy regimen with epirubicin hydrochloride injection(or doxorubicin hydrochloride liposome injection)+cyclophosphamide for injection,and the observation group was treated with modified Bazhen decoction on the basis of the treatment in the control group.The Piper fatigue scale(PFS)score,traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,PI3K-Akt signaling pathway factors(PI3KmRNA,AktmRNA),inflammatory factors[interferon-γ(IFN-γ),interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8)]and adverse events were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the fatigue scores in terms of behavioral,emotional,sensory and cognitive domains were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The main symptom score and secondary symptom score were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).PI3KmRNA and AktmRNA were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).IFN-γ level was increased in both groups(P<0.05),and higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of IL-4,IL-6 and IL-8 were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The neutrophil count decrease rate and the incidence of nausea and vomiting in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant differences in the incidences of cardiac toxicity and liver function damage between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Modified Bazhen decoction demonstrated significant therapeutic benefits in breast cancer patients with cancer-related fatigue and Qi-Blood deficiency syndrome.It effectively improves clinical symptoms,modulates the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway,reduces inflammatory responses with excellent safety profile without increasing the risk of adverse events.关键词
