摘要
Abstract
Objective:To explore the impact of various interventions on enhancing the pre-administration pathogen detection rate among inpatients receiving therapeutic antimicrobials. Methods:This study selected patients who received antimicrobial therapy during hospitalization in a hospital from July 2021 to June 2024.They were categorized into three phases. The pathogenic detection rates of patients before and after treatment were compared, including the pathogenic detection rate before treatment with various levels of antimicrobial drugs, for new nosocomial infections, and prior to the combination of key antimicrobial drugs. Results:After the interventions, the pathogen detection rates increased across the entire hospital,as well as in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and the intensive care unit(ICU),with statistically significant differences(P<0.001).However,the target improvement had not yet been achieved. The pathogen detection rates before therapeutic use of antibiotics at all levels increased, showing statistically significant differences(P<0.001).For new nosocomial infections, the pathogen detection rates increased hospital-wide and in internal medicine, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).In the second phase of the intervention, the pathogen detection rate prior to the combination of key antimicrobial drugs achieved the target value of the hospital, internal medicine, surgery and ICU.Conclusion:Various interventions can effectively enhance the pathogen detection rate among inpatients prior the administration of antimicrobial drugs for treatment,as well as improve the detection rate of pathogens associated with nosocomial infection, and before the combination of essential medications.Furthermore,higher-tier antibiotics are associated with higher pre-treatment pathogen detection rates.关键词
