Research progress on ferroptosis in gout and hyperuricemia
摘要
Abstract
Ferroptosis is a newly defined mode of cell death,which is caused by excess iron ions in cells leading to lipid peroxidation.Ferroptosis is associated with the pathogenesis of many diseases and has become a potential therapeutic target for some inflammatory arthritides.Till now,there are only a few studies on the correlation between ferroptosis and gout/hyperuricemia,indicating iron metabolism is positively correlated with the risks of hyperuricemia and gout,and ferroptosis may participate in the pathogenesis of gouty arthritis through joint synovial cells and chondrocytes.关键词
