Progresses in Research and Application of Bovine in vitro Embryo Production Technology
摘要
Abstract
The technique of ovum pick-up,in vitro fertilization and embryo transplantation,called in vitro embryo production,can in-crease the reproductive efficiency of cows by hundreds of times,and has been a new track subverting traditional breeding selection by tapping into the oocytes resources of well-bred female livestock,and utilizing a large number of recipient female livestock for rapid reproduction.However,this technology is a highly integrated system that involves multiple steps,such as ovum pick-up,in vitro maturation,in vitro fertilization and in vitro culture,and currently,there still exist many problems such as unstable oocyte re-trieval rate,inhomogeneous quality of recovered oocytes,as well as poor in vitro fertilization embryonic developmental ability.This article reviews the background,application progress,the current research status,and the future developmental directions of in vitro embryo production in bovine,aiming to provide reference for improving the in vitro embryo production technology system and ac-celerating its industrial application.关键词
