Abstract

To investigate the mechanical response characteristics of rock-backfill composite with inclined angle under one-dimensional coupled static-dynamic load,impact compression tests were conducted for composites composed of bonded granite monomers and backfill monomers using the finite element software LS-DYNA.The failure patterns and damage characteristics of rock-backfill composites with different inclined interface angles(0°,15°,30°,45°)at various impact velocities(6,7,8,9 m/s)and under different axial pressures(0,0.58,1.16,1.74 MPa)were analyzed.Additionally,the reflection and transmission laws of stress waves in rock-backfill composites with different inclined interface angles were explored based on the theory of elastic waves.The results indicate that the instability failure of rock-backfill composite primarily occurs in the backfill.Under the same impact velocity and axial pressure,as the inclined interface angle increases,the crack initiation zone gradually shifts from the end of the backfill to the side of the backfill adjacent to the interface.Correspondingly,the dominant failure mode transitions from tensile failure to shear failure.The stress wave propagation is closely related to the inclined interface angle.As the inclined interface angle increases from 0° to 45°,the transmission coefficient of the stress wave tends to decrease.The damage characteristics of the composite are quantitatively assessed by the proportion of failed elements in the backfill.It is found that the damage of the composite is negatively correlated with the inclined interface angle,but positively correlated with the impact velocity and axial pressure.
