Abstract

The objective was to evaluate the quality of artificially cultivated Herba Epimedii in Dingxi.The cultivated Herba Epimedii samples from different production areas in Dingxi City were collected,and the local wild Herba Epimedii samples were used as the reference.The HPLC-DAD fingerprint technology was applied,combined with similarity analysis,to conduct a qualitative study on the influence of artificial cultivation on the chemical components of Herba Epimedii.Through the principal component analysis of the common peaks,the quality differences among different areas were quantitatively evaluated.The results showed that a total of 16 common peaks were identified in the HPLC fingerprint,and the average similarity among the samples reached 0.953.Four main components were adopted in the principal component analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate reached 90.348%.According to the calculation of scores based on the weight coefficients,the cultivated products in Weiyuan County>the cultivated products in Min County>the wild samples>the cultivated products in Zhang County>the cultivated products in Longxi County.According to the content determination in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020 Edition),the content values of all samples were higher than the requirements of the Pharmacopoeia.Through the combination of HPLC fingerprint,principal component analysis and content determination,the quality of Herba Epimedii in Dingxi has been objectively,comprehensively and effectively explored and analyzed.Herba Epimedii from Weiyuan County and Min County have been screened out as the best in quality,providing a scientific reference for the artificial cultivation of Herba Epimedii.
