摘要

Abstract

A method to suppress instability vibration in a rotor/seal system was proposed by using dissipative elastic metamaterials.The nonlinear model of the dissipative metamaterials rotor/seal system was established.Instability threshold speed was calculated by the eigenvalue theory and the differential equations were solved using the numerical integration method.The instability threshold and nonlinear dynamic behaviors of the dissipative metamaterials rotor/seal system were obtained.The results show that a local resonance bandgap is generated by the metamaterials in the rotor/seal system.In addi-tion,another forbidden band is generated,which can stop the propagation of the instability vibration within the bandgap.The instability threshold speed is raised.Compared with the elastic metamaterials,the ability to forbid the propagation of the vi-bration is reduced within the local resonance bandgap,while the instability vibration in the rotor/seal system is suppressed for the dissipative elastic metamaterials.
