Abstract

Radiation noise of high-speed trains from the vibrations of wheels and rails,known as wheel-rail noise,is the primary source of environmental noise in high-speed railway settings,even at speeds of 350 km/h.Previous studies on the sound radiation of rails considered a continuous gap between the rails and the track slab,and neglected the influence of periodic gaps formed by fasteners between the rails and the track slab.This paper addresses the sound radiation problem of infinitely long periodic structures,such as rails on the track slab.The classical acoustic boundary integral equation is trans-formed into a Floquet wavenumber domain boundary integral equation using Floquet transformation.This Floquet wavenum-ber domain boundary integral equation only needs to consider the boundary of a unit cell,so that the computation complexity is significantly reduced.However,the involved Green's function has a series form and includes an additional wavenumber parameter compared to conventional Green's functions.And the boundary integral equations are usually solved by using the boundary element method.To facilitate the development of boundary element programming,this paper further investigates the mathematical properties of the aforementioned Green's function,including the convergence of the series expression,sin-gularity due to the coincident of field point with source point,and variations of the solution with frequency and wavenumber.
