Abstract
Objective:To investigate the short-term follow-up effects of percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)and percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)in elderly patients with osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fractures(OVCF).Method:From January 2021 to January 2024,82 patients with elderly OVCF admitted to Nanjing County Hospital were included in the study and divided into observation group and control group by means of numerical table drawing and random grouping,with 41 patients in both groups.The operation plan of the control group was PVP,and the operation plan of the observation group was PKP.The recent clinical response rate,operation time,dosage of bone cement,intraoperative fluoroscopy times,fluoroscopy time,serum stress factor level,imaging examinations results,and complication rate of the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in operation time,bone cement dosage,intraoperative fluoroscopy times and fluoroscopy time between the two groups(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in serum stress factor levels between the two groups before and 3 d after surgery(P>0.05);at 3 d after surgery,the imaging examinations results in both groups were improved compared with those before surgery,and the vertebral anterior margin height in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,Cobb angle and vertebral anterior wall compression ratio were lower than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with PVP,PKP in elderly OVCF patients has better short term efficacy than PVP,which can restore the vertebral structure,reduce the vertebral compression rate and the incidence of complications,and does not increase the operation time,fluoroscopy times,fluoroscopy time and the amount of bone cement,and does not cause surgery-induced serious stress reactions.关键词
