Abstract
Objective:To investigate the impact of family-centered intervention on treatment outcomes,patient adherence,and family satisfaction in pediatric patients with pneumonia undergoing traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)herbal fumigation and acupoint application.Method:A total of 102 pediatric pneumonia patients admitted to the Nanjing Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital from May 2023 to May 2024 were selected,and they were divided into the control group and the family-centered intervention group according to the random number table method,with 51 patients in each group.Both group received TCM herbal fumigation and acupoint application.The control group received routine care,while the family-centered intervention group received family-centered care in addition to routine care.The time for symptom improvement(including time for disappearance of pulmonary rales,sputum production,cough,shortness of breath and hospitalization duration),patient adherence,and family satisfaction with care between the two groups were evaluated.Result:The time for disappearance of pulmonary rales,sputum production,cough,and shortness of breath in the family-centered intervention group were earlier than those in the control group,the hospitalization duration was shorter than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Patient adherence in the family-centered intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores for nursing attitude,nursing skills,information provision,and overall satisfaction in the family-centered intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of family-centered intervention in TCM herbal fumigation and acupoint application for pediatric pneumonia can accelerate disease recovery,enhance patient adherence,and improve family satisfaction with care.关键词
