Abstract
Objective:To explore the effects of high-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)and gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRH-a)combined therapy on uterine volume and dysmenorrhea in patients with adenomyosis(AM).Method:A total of 80 AM patients treated with HIFU admitted to the Gynecology Department of Yangjiang People's Hospital from October 2022 to February 2024,and they were divided into the combination group(HIFU and GnRH-a combined therapy,n=27)and the single group(HIFU treatment,n=53)according to the treatment method.The difference in treatment effects between the two groups was compared.Result:The average power of the combined group was lower than that of the single group,and the irradiation time was shorter than that of the single group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence of sacrococcygeal pain and lower limb radiating pain between the two groups(P>0.05).During the HIFU treatment process and within 2 h after treatment,the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of the combined group were lower than those of the single group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The uterine volume of the combined group was smaller than that of the single group,dysmenorrhea score and the pictorial blood acute chart(PBAC)score for menstrual bleeding of the combined group were lower than those of the single group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of GnRH-a before HIFU treatment can reduce the energy intensity required for HIFU treatment,shorten the treatment time,effectively reduce uterine volume,and alleviate pain during the treatment process,thereby reducing clinical symptoms.关键词
