Abstract
A comprehensive analysis was conducted on the import and export trade of China's TCM materials and prepared TCM slices in 2024.The data generally showed continued growth in imports alongside a decline in exports of TCM materials and prepared TCM slices, highlighting the significant pull effect of expanding domestic demand. In terms of exports,long-established TCM varieties such as Cinnamomi Cortex,Lycii Fructus, and Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma remained dominant. However, some varieties experienced large fluctuations due to shifting market demand and policy adjustments, with significant export declines observed in some Southeast Asian markets. As for imports, the volume of TCM materials and prepared TCM slices reached an all-time high, with the spices and tonic herbs in dominance and Indonesia,Vietnam,India, and other Asian countries as the main source of imports.According to the analysis, policy support and market demand growth are the key factors driving the development of international trade in TCM materials and prepared TCM slices, especially the surge in demand for medicine and food homology, reflecting the global recognition of the TCM culture and the popularization of the TCM-based wellness concept. In the future, with the increasing global aging population and upgraded health consumption, the market for TCM materials is expected to expand further, and international trade is promising.关键词
