Application of Ginseng Polysaccharides as Adjuvants in Immunotherapy

Abstract
Therapeutic vaccines are emerging immunotherapeutic approaches that can stimulate the body to generate specific immune responses against antigens,activate cellular immunity,and eliminate target cells.As core components of vaccines,immune adjuvants can greatly enhance the strength,shorten the speed,and improve the duration of the immune response,which is a key factor in developing ideal therapeutic vaccines.Ginseng polysaccharides have immune-enhancing activity and great potential for application as adjuvants,but there are fewer reports in immunotherapy.In this paper,relevant literature over the past 20 years was retrieved from databases including CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,and PubMed using keywords such as"Ginseng polysaccharides""Immunotherapy""Immune adjuvant"and"Vaccine".The composition of Ginseng polysaccharides and their immunomodulatory mechanism on antigen-presenting cells and lymphocytes were analyzed,and the potential application value of Ginseng polysaccharides as immune adjuvants for chemotherapy drugs and vaccine adjuvants was clarified.In addition,the application prospect of Ginseng polysaccharides combined with nanotechnology was discussed to provide a reference for the research and application of Ginseng polysaccharides in immunotherapy.关键词
