Exploration on the Treatment of Depression in Traditional Chinese Medicine Based on the"Shaoyang as the Pivot"Theory
摘要
Abstract
Depression is a type of emotional and mood disorder.Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)has unique advantages in treating depression.Based on the"Shaoyang as the Pivot"theory,this paper analyzes the core pathogenesis of depression and explores the theoretical basis and clinical application of TCM in treating depression.Our research team believes that the pathogenesis of depression is primarily due to long-standing liver qi stagnation,leading to the obstruction of qi movement and resulting in the dysfunction of the Triple Burner,phlegm-damp obstruction,and ultimately,the inability of the gallbladder to perform free coursing properly,with impaired upbearing and effusion.This can be classified into the syndrome of dampness excess due to liver stagnation and spleen deficiency.In treatment,our team breaks away from the traditional focus solely on the liver in treating depression.Instead,based on the liver,gallbladder,spleen,and stomach,by combining clinical manifestation,integrating the classical formulas Dan-Zhi Xiao-Yao Powder and Wen-Dan Decoction,we have developed the formula Wen-Xiao Powder to soothe the liver,relieve depression,regulate qi,resolve phlegm,clear the gallbladder,and harmonize the stomach.This approach has shown good clinical results,supported by a case study.关键词
