Abstract
Objective To investigate the promoting effect of modified Buyang Huanwu Decoction on postoperative rehabitation in elderly femoral intertrochanteric fracture. Methods A total of 54 elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 27 patients in each group. The patients in the control group underwent closed reduction and internal fixation with proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PFNA),followed by conventional treatment such as anti-infective thera-py,anticoagulant therapy,anti-osteoporosis treatment, and rehabilitation treatment after surgery, and those in the observation group received modified Buyang Huanwu Decoction guided by the theory of"Qi-blood co-regulation"in addition to the treatment in the control group. The course of treatment was 8 weeks for both groups. The two groups were observed in terms of Visual Analog Scale(VAS)score,Harris hip score, and lower limb swelling before surgery and at weeks 4 and 8 after surgery, and the time to fracture healing was compared between the two groups. Results At weeks 4 and 8 after surgery, both groups had significant reductions in VAS score and lower limb swelling(P<0.05)and a significant increase in Harris hip score(P<0.05),and compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly lower VAS score and lower limb swelling(P<0.05)and a significantly higher Harris hip score(P<0.05).The observation group had a significantly shorter time to fracture healing than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Buyang Huanwu Decoction can significantly improve blood circulation, alleviate pain, promote the subsidence of limb swelling, enhance joint function, accelerate fracture healing, and improve overall treatment outcomes after PFNA surgery in elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture.关键词
