Abstract

Tight sandstone gas reservoirs in the Tarim Basin are characterized by abnormally high temperature in deep layers and strong stress compression,which lead to the great influence of high temperature and differential stress on reservoir resistivity logging data.As a result,the evaluation of the electrical characteristics of tight sandstone reservoirs faces severe challenges.In order to quantitatively evaluate the influence of high temperature and differential stress on the electrical characteristics of tight sandstone reservoirs,this paper conducts rock electrical experiments under high temperature and differential stress,as well as compares the results of traditional rock electrical experiments at normal temperature and pressure.The results show that the resistivity,formation factor and lithology factor of tight sandstone samples with brine water under high temperature conditions increase linearly with increasing differential stress,while the cementation index decreases exponentially in the form of e with the increase of differential stress when the lithology factor is not mandatory equal to 1,and increases linearly with the increase of differential stress when the lithology factor is mandatory equal to 1.Compared with the traditional electric data of rock at normal temperature without differential stress,the lithology coefficient of tight sandstone increases obviously under high temperature and differential stress,while the cementation index decreases obviously.The results of this paper clarify the electrical characteristics and variation rules of tight sandstone under high temperature and differential stress,which can provide theoretical and experimental reference for the resistivity correction and oil bearing evaluation of tight sandstone reservoirs.
