Abstract

To obtain the influence on boiler operating parameters after cofiring bituminous coal in W flame boil-ers,and to analyze the factors which restrict the maximum cofiring burning proportion or all burning of bitumi-nous coal,the W flame boiler of a 660 MW coal-fired unit is taken as the research object,the combustion test is carried out under max load,which the cofiring ratios of bituminous coal are 0%,16.7%,33.3%,50%and 66.7%.Results show that with the burning ratio increased,smoke temperature,the furnace outlet flue gas tem-perature,reheat decrease water are increased,fly ash carbon content,SCR inlet NOx concentration,the fur-nace temperature level are decreased,boiler efficiency is falled and then lifted,and oven coking is increased.When it reached the maximum cofiring ratio 66.7%,the exhaust temperature is increased by 9.6℃,the carbon content of fly ash is reduced by 0.93%,the boiler efficiency is reduced by 0.36%,the flue gas temperature of the economizer outlet is nearly 420℃,which reaches the upper limit temperature of SCR denitration catalyst,the temperature reducing water increased by about 17 t/h,and the NOx emission concentration(standard condi-tions,mass concentration)is reduced by about 135 mg/m3.The early ignition of bituminous coal led to the up-ward shift of the flame center of the furnace,which is the main reason for the change of the temperature distribu-tion of flue gas and the heat absorption in the heated surface after the W flame boiler is mixed with bituminous coal.If the W flame boiler needs to reach the capacity of fully burning bituminous coal,the main and auxiliary systems of the boiler should be reformed.
