摘要

Abstract

This case is a Durbin dog with quadriplegia,inability to lift the neck,and inability to urinate and defecate autonomously.After neurological and magnetic resonance imaging examination,it was diagnosed with cervical spon-dylomyelopathy.Using acupuncture(acupoints:Fengfu,Jingjiaji,Dazhui,Dazhu,Qiangfeng,Quchi,Houxi,Ming-men,Shenshu,Yaoyangguan,Yaobaihui,Xialiao,Huantiao,Zusanli,Kunlun,Taibai)combined with electric acu-puncture(connecting Fengfu-Dazhui,Dazhu-Houxi,Mingmen-Baihui,current intensity 1 mA,frequency 2,wave-form is dense wave)and moxibustion(location:C3-C4,C6-C7,Mingmen,Yaobaihui)treatment,once a day,30 min/time,and then depending on the recovery situation gradually reduce the frequency of acupuncture,moxibustion and electric acupuncture.Supplemented with drugs such as adenosine cobalt amine,salvia miltiorrhiza,deer and mel-on peptides,and miraculous peptides,as well as rehabilitation training(neck therapy,muscle massage,joint stretc-hing,standing training,walking training)for treatment.Three months later,the dog recovered.It can be seen that in the treatment of cervical spondylomyelopathy in dogs,acupuncture and moxibustion combined with electroacupunc-ture combined with drugs,rehabilitation training and other auxiliary treatments are safe,effective,and animal wel-fare is good,which provides a new treatment method for the treatment of such neurological paralysis diseases.
