Dynamic response characteristics and structural optimization of steel-prestressed concrete hybrid tower under wind-earthquake coupling

摘要

Abstract

To explore the response characteristics of wind power tower structure under various loads,a 4.55 MW steel-prestressed concrete hybrid tower in service was selected.The downwind and lateral disturbed fluc-tuating wind loads were generated based on Davenport spectrum meanwhile typical earthquake vibration was considered.Using Abaqus software,the dynamic response characteristics of the wind turbine tower under dif-ferent working conditions were analyzed,the weak region of the tower was identified and then optimized by in-corporating ultra-high performance concrete(UHPC).Results show that the tower exhibits evenly distributed displacement along the height under fluctuating wind load with the maximum displacement drift angle of 1/635.The TD2 to C1 variable cross-section is recognized as the weak zone of the tower,where the accelera-tion and displacement increase sharply and cause the tower failure under earthquake and wind-earthquake cou-pling loading.Under combination loading of wind and earthquake,the tower top displacement is 1.47 to 1.74 times that under single earthquake.When lateral turbulence is considered,the tower top displacement in-creases by 55.8%to 86.9%.Optimizing the tower weak section with UHPC can effectively improve the over-all mechanical performance,avoiding or delaying the local failure of the weak zone which causes a collapse of the tower.
