Research on Driving Factors of Disruptive Innovation in Artificial Intelligence Firms Based on TOE Framework

Abstract
Disruptive innovation is highly uncertain and risky,the realization process of which is driven by a variety of fac-tors both internal and external to the firm.We explored configuration pathways that drive the realization of disruptive innovation in terms of ecological relationships and ecological environments of the innovation ecosystems in which artificial intelligence firms are embedded,using fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis based on the technology-organization-environment(TOE)framework and the innovation ecology perspective.It is found that in a stable market environment,firms can achieve highly disruptive innova-tion by acquiring complementary and neighboring technological knowledge through R&D collaborations with various types of organiza-tions.In dynamic market environment,firms achieve disruptive innovation through absorbing neighboring technological knowledge based on R&D collaborations or supply chain relationships.And the institutional environment has always provided safeguards and support for disruptive innovation.Also,in particular contexts,there are complementary substitution effects between intellectual property protection and government policy support,as well as between R&D collaborations and supply chain relationships.The fin-dings provide a decision reference for firms to realize disruptive innovation through relationship construction and factor combination in the innovation ecosystem.关键词
