Abstract

Breakthrough in Gulong shale oil exploration and establishment of in-situ accumulation theory change the traditional understanding of high oil expulsion efficiency of lacustrine high-quality source rock,proposing new chal-lenges to evaluation parameters of conventional oil/gas resources and for understanding the relationship between con-ventional oil/gas resources and shale oil/gas resources in depression strata of Songliao Basin.Geochemical character-istics of Gulong shale and key parameters for oil and gas resources evaluation are further defined based on large amount of geochemical experimental analysis data including total organic carbon,rock-eval pyrolysis,chloroform bitumen"A",vitrinite reflectance(Ro)and pyrolysis gas chromatography,and thermal simulation experiment of hy-drocarbon generation and expulsion.The results show that,compared with shales in China and abroad,Gulong shale is characterized by moderate total organic carbon(w(TOC))and high hydrogen index(IH),with high thermal evolution degree generally in maturity-high maturity evolution stage.Dynamic model of kerogen generating hydrocar-bon and vitrinite reflectance of Gulong shale is established,determining hydrocarbon generation pattern with kero-gen generating bitumen first and then oil/gas,restoring paleothermal history and hydrocarbon generation history,and revealing the maximum paleo-temperature of 175℃at the end of late Cretaceous Mingshui Formation with hy-drocarbon generation conversion rate of>50%,entering peak oil generation stage.New model for hydrocarbon ex-pulsion efficiency based on light hydrocarbon restoration and heavy hydrocarbon calibration is established,reveal-ing that hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency increases gradually with the increase of maturity,entering the stage of large amount hydrocarbon expulsion when Ro=1.0%~1.2%with maximum expulsion efficiency around 49.5%,and less increase of expulsion efficiency in late stage due to self-sealing effect of shale.A method for fine logging evalua-tion of oil content S1 and a model for light hydrocarbon restoration of shale oil are established,clarifying spatial dis-tribution of shale oil,revealing that high oil content is areally mainly distributed in southern Qijia-Gulong Sag,southern Daqing Placanticline and Sanzhao Sag,and vertically mainly in bottom Qing-2 Member and Qing-1 Mem-ber.The research provides theoretical guidance for further oil and gas exploration in Gulong area of Songliao Basin.
