Abstract

The reservoirs of the Sanjianfang Formation in the Shengbei structural belt of the Taibei Sag in the Turpan-Hami Basin are tight,and the reservoir type is tight sandstone gas reservoir.The development and evaluation face problems such as low production from vertical well fracturing stimulation,large variations in production and rapid decline from horizontal well fracturing stimulation,and unclear understanding of the laws governing the control of faults on oil and gas migration,accumulation,and reservoir formation.Based on the post-stack pure wave migration data of 3D seismic,combined with data such as drilling coring,a-nalysis and testing,and logging,through the structural gradient tensor fracture detection technology,small faults,fractures,planar fault systems,and special lithologic bodies are identified and their boundaries are predicted.The study of the fault and fracture system is carried out to determine the degree of fracture devel-opment.The results show that frequency extension and fault enhancement technologies for the original seis-mic profile are conducive to the identification of fault points,and the interpretive processing of the original seismic data through anisotropic diffusion filtering and fault enhancement technologies is conducive to the i-dentification of small and medium-scale faults.Using this technology,the favorable area for fracture inten-sity development with an area of 718.7 km2 is extracted along the top surface of each sand group.The pre-diction results are consistent with exploration practices,which provides a good guidance for the efficient de-velopment of the tight sandstone gas reservoir of the Sanjianfang Formation in the Shengbei structural belt.
